Inspection Reason

Recently, many investors called the inspection team , expressing their hope for the inspection team exposing New Zealand’s brokers, whose real addresses are inconsistent with ones in their regulatory information. Given that, the investigators went to  VOFX for a closer look.

Company Building

VOFX’s office address in the regulatory information is SuiT 10 Level 8 87-89 AlberT STreeT, Auckland, 1010, New Zealand. The investigators carried out a field trip to this licensed broker.

Based on the navigation, the investigators successfully found the company building indicated by the regulatory information. The personnel could not wait to enter the building, but no information about VOFX was found on the floor signboard on the lobby at the ground floor.

In order to ensure survey quality, the personnel took the elevator to the 8th floor and found that the location corresponding to the house number "810" was empty.

The survey personnel learned from the downstairs reception workers that there was no company in Room 810, and there were all kinds of debris inside the room. Later, they asked the people in Room 811 if they had heard of VOFX, but was told that they did not know it. 

Coincidentally, when the personnel just wanted to go downstairs, a Chinese asked them with a phone whether the company was in Room 810. The personnel realized that Room 810 may be Prosperity International Finance Limited’s registration address.

Inspection Conclusion

The investigators, based on the result of the field trip, confirmed that VOFX’s real address failed to match with the one in its regulatory information. Its financial service provider license (regulatory No.: 551866) issued by Financial Service Providers Register is suspected to be a clone one.
