We've designed the School of WikiFX as simple and enjoyable as possible to help you learn and comprehend the fundamental tools and best practices used by forex traders all over the world, but keep in mind that a tool or strategy is only as good as the person who uses it.
The brush alone does not transform a painting into a magnificent masterpiece.
A work of art is created by a painter's vision and dexterous hand.
The end zone is not reached by a football on its own.
It is the quarterback's ability to read a defense, position his players appropriately, and deliver the ball to the correct location at the correct time.
It's not the “ridiculously great” indicator, the Cowabunga technique, or the “super duper” forex trading approach that helps you conclude the year in the black.
It's your ability to read the market, execute the appropriate strategy for the moment, and continually use adequate risk management strategies that will, hopefully, result in more lucrative wins than losses over time.
Forex trading, like art, sports, or any other sort of performance, is a multi-faceted skill. You won't be successful just because you have the right equipment.
The only way to achieve success is to devote yourself to education and application of what you learn, as well as continual evaluation of your performance.
The process of learning and careful practice, not the earnings, should be your primary emphasis at first.
Continuing with the basketball analogy, if your aim was to make the NBA, would you be able to achieve your desired level of performance solely by playing games?
Or would you progress more quickly if you focused on physical conditioning and practicing other abilities (jump shot, dribbling, footwork, passing, etc.) in addition to playing games?
Isn't it more likely the latter?
Do you believe you'd score a lot of points or win games if you went directly to the NBA without any training?
Nope. We didn't believe so.

These champions have one thing in common: they not only work their butts off, but they also enjoy what they do.
"Patience is the key to everything," American comic Arnold H. Glasgow once quipped. The chicken is gotten by hatching the egg rather than crushing it."
Ask any Wall Street quant (the highly nerdy math and physics PhDs who build complicated algorithmic trading techniques) why there isn't a "holy grail" indicator, approach, or system that generates revenues on a regular basis.
Never make the first move unless you're a good-looking dude or gal trying to win over your crush. What we mean is that you should not always get in when the market is moving so swiftly.
