Abstract:KwaZulu-Natal Hawks have arrested a popular forex trader on 194 charges ranging from fraud, theft, and contravening various financial acts to the tune of R735 000.
Prince Nkosinathi Mazibuko, 28, is accused of scamming people and getting them to invest in his company Born Rich Group (Pty) Ltd with the promise of an 80% monthly return.
“However, Mazibuko never paid the promised monthly returns nor the interest back to the complainants. The total value involved is R735 000.00,” said KZN Hawks spokesperson Captain Simphiwe Mhlongo.
On 194 different charges of fraud or theft, he is charged with breaking the Bank Act, the Financial Institutions Act, the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, and 194 additional statutes.
The Pietermaritzburg Serious Commercial Crime Investigation staff received the case docket after a case was initiated there. Mazibuko is accused of luring people in between May and June of 2015.
The Sandton police were looking for Mazibuko, who was 23 at the time, according to a 2017 Daily Sun story. There were claims that he had cheated individuals out of millions of dollars.
Young billionaire Mazibuko gained notoriety by flaunting his opulent lifestyle on social media. Since then, his Instagram has become private.
On Friday, February 26, 2021, he is scheduled to appear before the Durban Specialized Commercial Crime Court.

Vault Markets, a South African-based broker, has attracted much attention in recent days, particularly within its region. This online broker only offers access to focused trading opportunities on Indices, Currencies, Energies, and Metals, yet it shines on low minimum deposits plus various bonus programmes, which would encourage more investors, especially beginners, to trade with a small budget. However, Vault Markets operates outside of the authorized scope, so we don't consider it solid to trade with.
FBK Markets, a young South African forex broker, targets both beginners and experienced traders within this region. This broker shines at its low minimum deposit required, 100% deposit bonus, and flexible account options, yet we cannot consider it reliable as it operates without any regulation. Furthermore, it features an approximately 70% withdrawal failure rate.
Trade345, a young South African broker, has gained some regional popularity, but lacks an established reputation. Trade245 offers access to FX pairs, indices, stocks and commodities CFDs with operation on both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. Although this broker only asks for a modest minimum deposit, it does not shine on trading costs. Besides, this broker heavily relies on bonuses to attract new investors and it does not provide trading signals.
Pocket Option is considered a beginner-friendly trading platform, providing access to over 100 CFD instruments. Though not in an extensive range, 12 currency pairs, 10 cryptocurrencies, and stock indices are enough for focused and efficient trading. Particularly, forex trading starts at $10, perfectly fit for beginners' trading styles. Besides, Pocket Option provides a free demo account with virtual funds of $50,000 to give users risk-free practice. Though Pocket Option introduces commission-free option trading, they are less competitive in trading costs for other instruments.
