SFC releases alert list of unregulated physical platforms and websites in HK from 2024 to 2025

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) regulates Forex brokers specializing in regulating the operation of the securities and futures markets in Hong Kong. It was established in 1989 in response to the 1987 stock market crash.

The Alert List is a list of entities that have come to the attention of the SFC because they are not licensed in Hong Kong and are believed to have or have targeted Hong Kong investors or claimed to have links with Hong Kong.

It is unsafe for investors to trade assets on unregulated, unlicensed entities, virtual asset trading platforms (VATPs), and suspicious websites. The actual consequences are that if the virtual asset trading platform ceases operations, goes bankrupt, is hacked, or suffers asset theft, investors will lose all their investments held in the virtual asset trading platform.
