Inspection Reason

Some investors made phone call to the inspection team for more information of New Zealand licensed brokers whose real address were not the same with its regulation address. In response to investors’ strong need, the survey personal went to CGFX in New Zealand to know more about it.

Office

According to the regulation information, the New Zealand licensed broker CGFX is located at Ecs Limited Level 10, 21 Queen Street Auckland. The survey personal then visited this place.

Under the guidance of the navigation, the survey personnel successfully found the office building indicated by the regulatory information. Located on Queen Street, this high-end office building is the office of the New Zealand Stock Exchange.

The surveyed personnel entered the building and learned from the floor guides in the ground floor lobby that the floor shown in the regulatory information belonged to an office leasing company called REGUS.

It is reported that the company will provide its own address to some companies not in this office as a letter to send and receive addresses.

Subsequently, the survey personnel asked the front desk staff on the 10th floor whether the CGFX was working on the floor. After checking the history, the person said that the company's information was not found.

Conclusion

The visit by the survey personnel confirmed that the broker CGFX’s real address was consistent with its regulation address. Its FCA license is suspected of being a clone and its FSPR license is canceled.
