CONSOB issues warnings on unauthorized companies and websites for December 2024

The Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa(CONSOB) is a public body responsible for regulating the Italian financial markets to protect the investing public. CONSOB is the competent authority to ensure transparency and correct behavior of financial market participants; that listed companies disclose complete and accurate information to the investing public; and that it conducts investigations into potential infringements of insider trading and market manipulation laws.

Companies not registered in the list published on the Consob website are not authorized as investment companies. If you cannot find the name of a specific company in the published list or the notices issued by Consob for the protection of depositors (“Depositor Warning Notices”), it is possible that the company itself is also providing investment services without authorization and no action has been taken. Clients can also check the “Investor Protection - Investor Alert Portal” section of the IOSCO (International Organization of Securities Commissions) website and verify whether the subject providing financial services has been warned by other world bodies similar to CONSOB.
